After several years of studying and experimenting with fiber manipulation, I began weaving “Sculptural Basketry” while living in the woods of the Arkansas Ozarks. My weaving process is a free form, intuitive fiber manipulation inspired by the wild fibers that I gather from the woods. The vines and branches are used in designing the sculptural shapes. The bark and hand dyed reed are used as weavers. |
